Project Highlights
Product Thinking
Turned fragmented candidate, client, and admin needs into one role-based product system with secure public entry points.
Build Lens
Designed tokenized external flows and admin patterns with deep links, resilient states, and implementation realities in mind.
Outcome
Made candidate data easier to manage, safer to share, and easier for teams to trust in everyday recruiting workflows.
Problem
Recruiters, candidates, and clients needed one system for talent data without fragmenting the workflows.
Responsibilities
- Synthesized stakeholder and user input to align candidate, client, and admin workflows with business goals and product constraints.
- Defined the information architecture and role-based navigation across admin, candidate, client, and authentication flows.
- Designed the dashboard, candidate management, profile editor, skills taxonomy, shared profiles, and audit log experiences.
- Simplified dense tables and form-heavy workflows with filters, deep links, reusable components, and progressive disclosure.
- Designed the tokenized candidate skill-assessment flow to support autosave, resume state, and accessible navigation.
- Shaped the read-only shared profile experience for clients, with clear visibility into link status and expiration.
- Collaborated on loading, empty, error, and retry states to make operational workflows resilient.
Key Challenges
- Balancing a data-heavy admin interface with clarity, speed, and low-friction editing.
- Supporting multiple user roles and permissions without fragmenting the experience.
- Designing secure public flows that work without standard login while still protecting candidate data.
- Making candidate skill submission reliable across interruptions, refreshes, and session recovery.
- Keeping the product scalable as the skills taxonomy, profile sections, and sharing workflows expand.
Key Design Decisions
- Used a persistent admin shell with deep-linkable pages so users can move quickly between tasks.
- Prioritized dashboard metrics, filters, and tables to make candidate health and sharing activity immediately visible.
- Structured candidate profiles into clear modules for about, experience, education, projects, skills, and media.
- Kept candidate and client journeys intentionally minimal, removing admin controls and unnecessary navigation.
- Added explicit loading, empty, and error states so teams can trust the system during day-to-day use.
- Designed around secure token-based workflows to support shared access without exposing full application access.
Outcome & Impact
The team gained a structured talent workflow with better admin visibility, easier candidate submission, and secure client sharing through expiring links that supported day-to-day recruiting operations.
- Gave recruiters and admins one place to review candidate data, skill evidence, and sharing activity.
- Surfaced candidate health and sharing status through dashboards, filters, and audit-friendly views.
- Made the skill-assessment experience easier to resume after interruptions or context switches.
- Kept client access limited and revocable without exposing the full internal platform.
